50 000 signatures and extension !

Hello everyone,

I would like to announce today that I have amassed over 50 000 signatures for the petition. Fantastic, isn’t it? I estimate I received minimally about 200 signatures a day. I’m very impressed! I would like to inform you that the petition sheets have now been sent to the member’s office, I was beginning to feel anxious to have so many sheets at my house! To give you an idea, the stack of petition had reached over two feet in height!

I had told you that I wanted to receive as many signatures as possible before October 16th. That is always true. These signatures will serve to make a first deposit in the House of Commons before the holidays and to make our elected representatives realize that the situation is serious and that the population is mobilizing for this purpose.

On the other hand, as I am currently working on developing the petition in other provinces, I certainly will make another deposit in a few months. I cannot mention a date at this time, but I will do so as soon as I have more information. For distribution in other provinces, I am being helped by major partners, including the Canadian Cancer Society and the Postal Workers Union (CUPW). Since this law is federal and serious illnesses are everywhere, it is important to mobilize the entire population in order to put more pressure on our elected officials. As mentioned above, if you have contacts elsewhere in Canada, please send them the petition and the relevant information.
